J. Jay Young is the CEO and Member of Smith Mazure's Executive Committee, and he has significant experience litigating cases in a variety of areas. Mr. Young received his law degree from New York Law School. He graduated Omicron Delta Kappa with an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University. Mr. Young is licensed to practice law in the State of New York and New Jersey in both Federal and State Courts.

Mr. Young has particular experience in the areas of Alternative Dispute Resolution, Appellate Practice, Claims Management, Construction Accidents, Excess Risk Claims, General Liability, Insurance Coverage Litigation, Lead Paint, Mold and Toxic Tort Litigation, Municipal Litigation, Premise and Security Liability, Products Liability and Transportation-related Accidents.

Mr. Young writes and lectures frequently on substantive and procedural topics such as vicarious liability, reducing risk litigation, New York oddities, No-fault insurance, soft tissue injuries and other issues relevant to New York practice.
